This week I have had some health issues that have made me appreciate what people with chronic pain must feel like. My heart goes out to them. As such I was not able to spend as much time on research and reflection as I normally like to. As a result this week’s blog and update are going to simply be a couple of short quotes. A friend and client as part of our discussions on procrastination sent the first to me.

 Do You Worry Needlessly?

If I spent as much time doing the things

I worry about getting done

as I do worrying about doing them,

I wouldn’t have anything to worry about.

~ Beryl Pizer

 Do You Accept Yourself?

The second came from Brendan Bouchard via LinkedIn

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Carl Rogers

 The Great One on Procrastination

I will also add the Wayne Gretzky quote on procrastination

Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy.

While procrastination is a habit not a disease, its toll is obvious.

Do You Cycle?

I often mention here how exercise can help with stress management. Bicycling is one of the physically least stressful forms of exercises on the body. Last week I took the CANBike II course. I strongly recommend this course for anyone who bikes in traffic; it is a fabulous defensive biking course. Just be sure to look around as prices can vary significantly. I took it through my local bike club for $50. My taxpayer-supported city offers it for only $175. Practice happy and safe cycling, enjoy the scenery, get your exercise and relax a little.

 What is Your Favourite Quote?

I am always gathering, enjoying and thinking about great quotes so please share yours. I am sure we can all benefit.
